My toddler has Diarrhea?

Hi, my 1 year 8 month old daughter has had diarrhea for about two weeks now. She has ALWAYS had problems with constipation, from birth until two weeks ago. We went on a trip to Florida to go and see some of my family. She also started taking Poly Sol Vitamins Which my doctor recommended. But besides these things, there have been no changes in eating habits, ect. It first started as looser, softer bowel movements once a day, so I was thrilled not to see her hurting from trying to push out rock hard bowels, and I just thought that her little system may have been regulating itself. Her bowels have slowly gotten waterey, and more frequent (1 to 3 times a day) I have been giving her pedialite to replenish lost fluids. There is no accompanying symptoms like a fever. She acts like she feels great. Does anyone know what could possibly be causing it?? I plan on making her an appointment ASAP in the morning…..just need a little advice to ease my mind

Thanks in advance!!
The only thing she is taking is Vitamins…No prescription meds, and my doctor told me that I could give them to her if I wanted to. She told me that she always gave her children vitamins to ease her mind so that she new they were getting all the neccessary nutrients that they need.
I thought the vitamins may be doing it. I haven’t given them to her in three days now. The diarrhea is still present.

Constipation, diarrhea, or upset stomach may occur. These effects are usually temporary and may disappear as your body adjusts to this medication. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

If your doctor has directed you to use this medication, remember that he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.

A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any of the following symptoms of a serious allergic reaction:

rash
itching
swelling
severe dizziness
trouble breathing

It is probably being caused by the Poly Sol Vitamins. It may need lessened in dosage or take the baby off of it and have her eat a lot of soft foods, and drink lots of water to keep the intestines moist. But now that she is having runny bowel movements, and even if you are giving her pedaled, she still can dehydrate. The only thing she is doing different is the Vitamins, so it makes sense that it is what’s causing her the diarrhea. I’m wishing for you young Mother and that precious daughter, the very best. If this continues, better take her to see a Gastrointolgist

If she’s still on the vitamins, I’d stop them for a couple of days and see if that changes the diarrhea. If it does, cut the dose or frequency of the vitamins- or tell her Dr.-she may not be able to take that brand, and he may try something different. Does she have a runny nose? Post nasal drip can cause diarrhea. And sometimes kids just get a virus-which usually runs it course - but it shouldn’t last 2 weeks.
Lots of fluids-see the Dr.
